A simple and efficient microwave assisted synthesis of pyrrolidinyl-quinoline based pyrazoline derivatives and their antimicrobial activity

A novel series of pyrrolidinyl-quinoline based pyrazoline derivatives are synthesised by the reaction of a series of Pyrrolidinyl-quinoline chalcones with hydrazine hydrate using Michael addition reaction conditions under microwave irradiation. All synthesized pyrzolines are screened for their in vitro antimicrobial activity against different bacterial and fungal pathogens. Majority of the synthesized compounds demonstrate moderate to good inhibition zones compared to the standard drugs.
