Structural elucidation and antimicrobial activity of new phencomycin derivatives isolated from Burkholderia glumae strain 411gr-6

Abstract

Burkholderia spp. isolates have been reported to produce antimicrobial compounds, including pyrrolnitrin, pyoluteorin and phenazine compounds. Phenazines are colored antimicrobial metabolites that exhibit broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria, yeast and filamentous fungi.
